Agriculture infrastructure is the most essential input for the development of agriculture in Bihar as one third population of the state depends on agriculture sector directly or indirectly. Agricultural infrastructure includes agricultural inputs, irrigation agricultural credit position and agricultural marketing, etc. The growth of farm productivity and non-farm rural employment is closely linked to infrastructure position. Development of infrastructure leads to the commercialization of agriculture and rural sector.
